The Oceanaires Big Band – The Haymarket, Basingstoke

Returning once again, the Oceanaires Big Band from the Bands of HM Royal Marines are thrilled to be bringing a new and refreshing programme back to where the band’s reincarnation began.

Playing pieces from Beethoven to Alford, as well as big band highlight In The Mood, this programme promises to showcase stunning soloists and the big band sound from one of the world’s foremost military musical services, under the leadership of Director of Music Captain Phil Trudgeon and Band Leader Colour Sergeant Mark Upton.

Since 2022, the band has performed at numerous concerts and events, including Royal Marines Band Service Marquee Concert of the Year and The Mountbatten Festival of Music.
