The Massed Bands of the Royal Marines will performed their world-renowned Beating Retreat ceremony on London's Horse Guards Parade in celebration of the birthday of their Captain General, His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh on 9, 10 and 11 June at 18:15 under the direction of Lt Col Nick Grace RM.

Only performed every three years, this magnificent pageant of military music, precision drill and colour dates back to the 16th century and is regarded as a piece of living history.

200 of the world's finest military musicians performed with all five Royal Marines Bands on parade.
