Individual Interview...

This can be rather daunting - the Director of Music Training, a staff Officer, the Chief Instructor and Bugle Major all facing you across a desk and asking questions. However, we are not there to catch you out, we want to find out about you. Why you want to be a Royal Marines Musician, your background, both general and musical, in order to help finalise our opinions There's also an opportunity for you to ask us questions.

...The Result

After the individual interview a final assessment is made and you will be informed by letter whether you have been successful and whether you will be required to learn new instruments. What we cannot do at this stage is tell you if you will be finally accepted for the Royal Marines or when you will join. Other procedures must be carried out first.

Should there be a large number of candidates it may be necessary for you to stay another night with us. Once all is completed you are free to go home to await your final result and, hopefully, your joining date which will be forwarded to you by the Royal Navy and Royal Marines Careers Service in your area.
