Capt MP Dowrick Director of MusicWelcome to this weekly diary, maintained by The Band of HM Royal Marines, Britannia Royal Naval College. Hopefully over the next ten weeks it will enable you to follow the Band during its deployment onboard HMS INVINCIBLE and RFA ARGUS to the East Coast of America. As you will see below, the Band has wasted little time in getting in to the thick of it, both musically and otherwise. As time passes, I'm sure that this will become an interesting record of life at sea with a Royal Marines Band and let us share most of our experiences with you. It is aimed to give you a unique insight to the ceremonial engagements undertaken by the Band and also the very important secondary role, which will feature during our time with RFA ARGUS as well as the very important social and sporting activities!
