Welcome to the online diary of troop 1/07 displayed here within their own web pages.   Written in their own hand these pages will enable you to follow the evolution of each individual from civilian into Royal Marine as the troop undergoes it's training at the Royal Marines School of Music located in HMS Nelson, Portsmouth.

Troop 1/07 joined the Royal Marines Band Service in September 2007.  Prior to the commencement of their training they were all from different parts of the country and various backgrounds. Each of the Musicians and Buglers within the troop will begin their career with Phase 1 training comprising 10 week's Initial Military Training in their 1st term before they start their intensive musical training.  Those that successfully complete Phase 1 Training will Pass Out In Aug 2008 to return in Sep and commence their Phase 2 training which will last a further year for Buglers and 2 years for Musicians.

As the troop progress through their training the links on the left will become active allowing you to meet the staff at RMSoM.  Initially the only active link is "Meet the Training Team" to enable those joining us to have a brief introduction to those who will be taking them through their Initial Military Training.
