 Musn Waugh lived in Plymouth for the 11 years prior to joining the Band Service in which time he took an interest to music and started learning the trumpet. He carried this onto his secondary school, Eggbuckland Community College where he took part in a wealth of ensembles. At this school he gained 10 GCSEs, two A levels, and a B Tec in Public Services. He also became a member of the city wind band playing principal trumpet.
