Musn Norrie comes from a small town in Cumbria called Ulverston, where he lived with his mum, dad, three sisters and a brother. He recently became an uncle when one of his sisters had a little boy. He attended Ulverston Victoria High School for five years before completing his Music A level there.
He became interested in the Royal Marines Band Service when his school did a joint concert with Dartmouth Band. A year later they did another concert with Scotland Band. So he auditioned in May 2006 and was successful and was due to join in September 2006. Unfortunately during a game of rugby he injured his knee and had to defer his entry until September 2007.
“I play the trumpet and violin and look forward to travelling the country and the globe with the Band Service.”
