 Born in Winchester in 1988 Musn King attended Stanmore Primary School where he first started playing trumpet and cornet. He then went to King’s School, Winchester where music became an integral part of his day to day life. Having achieved his GCSEs, he went to Peter Symonds College and studied (among other things) music.
Music became more and more important to him as he joined a vast number of ensembles including the Hampshire County Youth Band, with whom he first had contact with the Royal Marines Band Service. After seeing them at IFOS, he knew the Royal Marines Band Service was the career for him and began the long process of tests, medicals, interviews and finally audition before joining the family of the Royal Marines with troop 2007.
