 Musn Paul Johnson was born in Cambridge in December 1987. As a Salvationist, he attended the Salvation Army Cambridge Citadel. He learnt to play the cornet through the Young Peoples Band at Cambridge and progressed on to trombone, then finally bass trombone in the Senior Band. He also plays the piano, having had private piano lessons since he was eight years old.
At school he took music GCSE and music A Level achieving a grade B at both levels. To date he has also achieved Grade 8 Piano, Grade 5 Theory and Grade 6 on bass trombone.
