 Musn Lucy Hurley was born in October 1987 and lived with her parents and elder sister near St Albans, Hertfordshire, before joining the RM Band Service.
After completing her A Levels, she had a year out of education and worked part time whilst she prepared herself physically and musically for her audition for the Royal Marines Band Service. During this time she also completed her ice-skating coaching level 1 and was a member of a running club, running at least 4 times a week. Whilst with the running club she represented Hertfordshire and hopes to take her running further by physically pushing herself with the Royal Marines and hopefully represent the Corps and Royal Navy.
She said “Training in the Royal Marines Band Service is going to be a challenge but, I look forward to pushing myself to be the best I can be”.
