Bugler Horner was born in Redhill, Surrey in 1981. When he was 12 he joined the local Sea Cadets at Reigate and learnt to play the drum and bugle, as well as taking part in the varied activities they offered. He later became an instructor with the Sea Cadets.
At school he gained 10 GCSEs and went on to sixth form to gain 3 A levels. Consequently he went to University and gained a Sports Science Degree. As well as music, his interests include football, rugby and tennis.
