Musn Peter Eskett was born and raised in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire to a small family consisting of his parents, a sister and nephew.
He decided to join the Royal Marines Band Service because, from an early age, he took a great interest in music, playing clarinet and saxophone. He wanted to make his hobby a career, so he was naturally drawn to military bands. With this in mind, he pushed himself musically to gain Grade 8 on both clarinet and baritone saxophone.
Before joining the Royal Marines Band Service he decided to gain some more qualifications, enrolling at Greenhead College where he studied music, modern history and theatre. Throughout his college life he managed to develop his musical ability by joining more bands and broadening his horizons.
Apart from music, his other hobbies are kayaking and archery, in which he is a qualified coach. He hopes to carry on with these particular hobbies when he completes training.
