Monday

This week, RMSM went to Wales for Adventure Training. I actually arrived on the Sunday with CSgt McGough and the advance party to get everything ready. Monday saw us to our accommodation at RAF Valley, North Wales. Apart from the unpacking it was a very chilled out day.

Tuesday

Today was the first day of the activities. We started our 3 hour trek up Mount Snowdon, what a sight! Coming down was much better. After the days walk we went to the off-licence and had a quiet night in with some cooling beverages.

Wednesday

This was probably the best day of the week. The first half of the day was Ropeworks. Basically this consists of an assault course 45 feet in the air suspended by a thin rope, the leap of faith, which consisted of a 45 foot telegraph platform post, climbing up it and jumping to a trapeze about 6 feet away and the marmight swing which consisted of a giant swing pulled up to 90 degrees from the construct and bang, we experience 3 g's in normal clothing. I needed a new pair of pants! The second part of the day saw us get muddy and wet as we went quad biking. That was fun too.

Thursday

Today we went climbing, indoor though! I think that it is a great activity but you can't make it last all day. By the end of it I couldn't feel my fingers, forearms or rear due to the harness and my bee laying partner Claire!

Friday
Friday saw the end of our adventurous week and Foggy, Sol and I went back in the transit van. Got back to RMSM and guess what? ...... Shower and Bed!
