Bug Keeping 3 - 9 March 2003

Monday

Monday morning saw the end of a relaxing weekend and the start of a busy week ahead. Having enjoyed a brilliant week doing the Mountbatten Concert at the Albert Hall, things got back to normal as we slowed the pace down to assessments, grade exams and up coming gigs.

Tuesday

Tuesday, and there was rehearsal for a concert at the Guildhall with the Hampshire Police Band. The repertoire for the buglers was Gibraltar, Millennium, the Gael and of course the usual finale set up.
With our Grade Six drumming exams coming up, we had to go through our pieces with the professor Mr Cameron, the two pieces are certainly a step up from Grade 5!

Wednesday

Everyone looks forward to this day because of the activities we do halfway through the day. Whilst everyone else was doing RT with the PTIs, myself, Bug Mace and Musn Grey were on our way to Brockenhurst in Dorset to go bike riding around the forest. When we finally found the place, it was most enjoyable.

Thursday

Early morning phys soon woke us up at 0730 with a wonderful circuit that we all thoroughly enjoyed! With assessments on their way the Buglers are working hard to get the studies and pieces cracked. We are going through repertoire for the gigs approaching and Grade Six pieces which need to be done, so a busy few weeks ahead!

Friday

With the weekend around the corner, it's hard to keep our minds on work, especially at 1520 when there is only an hour to go. Never the less work goes on. The bugle call goes and everyone leaves to enjoy a well-earned weekend.
