Thursday
Having returned from a longer than usual weekend, known by many as a long, long weekend, thanks to the 'Golden Jubilee', Training Company and myself returned to work on the Thursday. Preliminary PT returned our beer filled stomachs back to finely tuned bodies worthy of the Royal Marines peaked cap! The routine resumed as usual. The evening saw us rehearsing for the Axeminster gig, due to be performed the following Saturday and also sold out already!
Friday
Nothing we do as a professional outfit comes anywhere near as important as
the lads in Japan against Evita's lot. Praise, gratitude and honour fall on
my shoulders Sven, as on behalf of the Royal Marines Band Service, we'd all
like to say' "Why wasn't it 2 nil?"
Luckily for us, due to the immense English triumph, we were allowed to work
through stand easy and finish 20 mins early, thanks Drum Major.
In closing, thanks go to Colours Basford for setting the largest and most Mahoosive
TV screen in NATO up in the coffee boat for us to enjoy the game.
