Musician Fenne 10 - 16 June 2002

Monday

Monday morning, we all arose and enthusiastically sprang out of bed excited at the prospect of the privilege of a 14 day week, thanks to the approaching, Axminster gig. Now that we have completed our character building Basic Training, it's nice to be treated a lot better and constantly have our characters enhanced and cultivated.

Tuesday

On Tuesday, having completed rounds and an inspection, we had a full days work with extra rehearsals in the evening. We went through Concert Band and Orchestra.

Wednesday

On Wednesday we were allowed to watch the football in the morning, then back to the work routine. Due to cancelled Recreational Training we had Parade Band in the afternoon for an hour. I now had plenty of extra work set for me by the percussion professor from my lesson earlier.

Thursday

Thursday opened with Morning Prayers. A full uneventful working day ensued. At evening fall in, I was fairly made an example of for my irregular misconduct while fallen in. I hessitate to tell you what happened however, I've learned my lesson! As a result I went out and purchased 'Now that's what I call Music '93 !' to cheer myself up. Track 2, CD 2, Temptation… what a classic. That evening we had Concert Band, in preparation for Axminster.

Friday

The morning started with Parade Band. I got an Extra Parade… deep joy! A full days work once again came and went, and it was off to the pub for some relaxation and social interaction. On Saturday morning I completed my Grade 5 theory exam, I'll be disappointed if I get less than 90%. Then it was off to the gig at Axminster, which incidentally, went without a hitch.
