Musicians Boardman & Harwood Easter Leave 2002

Musn Boardman

Well after a very short term we came to two weeks leave which is always gratefully received. I had quite a busy leave ranging from weddings to Alton Towers.
I was invited to Musn Lisa Rettalick's wedding in Cornwall, along with a few others from Training Coy. So off we all toddled down to Cornwall for a few days. We couldn't have wished for a nicer day to attend a weeding on, the sun was beating down and a good time was had by all.

Every year since I was young I have had my annual trip to Alton Towers as it is only an hour away so… this year was no different. All the usual thrills and spills were undertaken. One worrying incident was that on the new ride called 'Air' some of the harnesses weren't working but hey, it makes it that bit more enjoyable.

Next was a trip to a place called 'Wet and Wild' which is basically a massive fun pool facility, with around 10 different types of slides in it. They were all very good and I especially enjoyed the chute that drops for around 25 ft.

The best bit about the leave is the drive back down to sunny Portsmouth (yeah right). Well that's leave over for another few months… back to the hard work!

Musn Harwood

Easter leave began on the Friday at roughly 1000. Training Coy left the School of Music in high spirits more than ready for the two weeks leave that lay in front of us.
I spent the first day stripping wallpaper in my new house! On Sunday I went home to Wales for the night as on Monday I was busy… stripping more wallpaper! It made a change from music. The rest of the first week I spent in Grantham (mostly sleeping) stripping a Ford Sierra engine, (don't ask why!) Most of Easter Sunday was spent at an uncle's house in Poole where I ate quite a lot of BBQ chicken and salad.

The second week saw my family and I get out of bed at silly o clock to go to France. After a days travelling we stopped at a rather nice hotel but only for a night. At lunch time on Wednesday we arrived at Euro Disney! The queues were short and I can say it was a relaxing week for the Harwood family.
Thanks Mum and Dad.

We are back at work now with a long term ahead of us but we have Adventure Training to look forward to and Term 3 Exams to work towards… my troop will certainly be kept busy.
