Monday
This was a regular day at the School with PT in the morning which is always
great fun after the weekend but it was OK as we went for a run at Southsea which
has great views and gets you started for the day. The rest of the day was normal
instruction.
Tuesday
This again was a normal day and the term one buglers were starting to worry
with their first gig just one day away. But they were all rehearsing so well
they had nothing to worry about. In the evening we had a concert rehearsal with
the term ones doing very well.
Wednesday
Parade Band was good but as usual it was not good enough for WO1 Smallwood who
is soon departing the School to boldly go where all the officers go. The first
gig for this term has arrived and nerves were a reality. The gig was excellent
with all the term ones performing to a very high standard.
Thursday
Again this was a normal day but there was one change. No evening instruction
which saw a small group of us arrive at Musn O'Briens house for a 'home cooked
meal'. The next morning was a little bit special.
Friday
No Parade Band so a small lie in was enjoyed by everyone but a long day was
ahead with another gig in the evening. This gig was at Gosport and it was special
for me and the term ones because this was the same venue as my first gig and
it brought back some proud memories for me.
With my B3 Bugle and Trumpet Exam coming up on the 18 March it's time to say
goodbye and play the bugle call for stand easy .
So from the few the proud and the finest men and women in Training Company its
goodbye
until the next time.
