Musn Harwood 5-11 November 2001

Monday
The morning began with the usual 0730 start in the gym. After a hard session, we arrived at the school for 0845 and began our week's practice. The first half of Monday morning was taken up with brass group and practice for recitals. After lunch, we watched the recitals and carried on with our normal practice routine. In the evening, we cleaned everything in preparation for rounds, ironed our bed sheets and did kit for the next day.

Tuesday
I think I can safely say that most of the troop realised that we only had three weeks until our term three exams. That evening, there was an orchestra rehearsal until 2000 and the school bar was open afterwards.

Wednesday
Today was a half day of practice in the School of Music due to RT in the afternoon. Wednesday mornings always fly past and today was no exception. The sailors amongst us took one look at the weather and opted to join the rest of Training Coy playing football in the gym rather than brave the high seas.

Thursday
Thursday saw another PT session and day of hard practice. My piano lesson went well and so did the Term 3 history lesson. On Thursday evening I did one of my first concert band rehearsals on trumpet. I had a really good rehearsal and it was great to be playing in the band.

Friday
Today began with a Parade Band rehearsal for the new entries pass out and then an aural lesson. This involved practising the skills we would need for our T3 aural exam. In the afternoon, we had a harmony lesson, again preparing for another exam!

Saturday & Sunday
Saturday morning and the Term 3 students were in work, practising. We will only have another two Saturdays if we pass our exams. That's a good incentive to get the results we need!
