After a long awaited Easter leave we all returned to RMSM only to be faced with a period in the gym at 0730 on the Monday morning. The period didn't turn out to be half as bad as we all expected. Everyone quickly got into the daily working routine of professor lessons, history, harmony, aural and elements. On the Tuesday I attended both clarinet and viola lessons and discovered that not practicing much for two weeks during leave really did make a difference!
At 0800 on Wednesday Training Company fell in on the parade ground awaiting a period of parade band training. During the next hour Drum Major Mason proceeded to teach us some of the many technical aspects of parade band displays. Wednesday afternoon saw recreational training.
Thursday saw the return of the BFT, a run of a mile and a half run in which the males have to complete under 11 minutes and fifteen seconds and the females in less than 13 minutes and fifteen seconds. Welcome back off leave everyone.
